HealthKit & Data Use

HydrateNow integrates with Apple Health (HealthKit) to improve reminders and insights. Health integration is strictly opt-in, transparent, and revocable at any time in iOS Settings > Health > Data Access & Devices.

What we access

• Water (Dietary Water): read and write, to keep your hydration unified across apps.
• Workouts: read, to understand your active windows and adjust reminders.

What we never do

• No ads or marketing based on Health data.
• No selling or sharing Health data with third parties without your explicit consent.
• No use beyond the app’s core hydration features.

Permissions & consent

We request only the minimum Health permissions required for the selected features. You can grant or revoke categories independently. If you choose not to grant access, the app still works using manual logs.

Data retention

Health data remains in Apple Health on-device unless you enable iCloud Health. HydrateNow stores only what’s necessary for your account features and deletes it upon request (see the Privacy Policy).
